The advanced students in Ms. Didawick's class created some amazing mosaics with help from a grant from an Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation grant.
The students had a lot of fun planning the designs and seeing the mosaics take form.
Fun facts:
A mosaic is art created with small pieces of materials like glass, ceramic tiles, stones, shells etc.
The earliest examples of mosaics were found in Mesopotamia and date back to the 3rd millennium BC.

On March 14th we had four FFA members participate in the Tri County Ham Bacon & Egg Show and Auction. Over the past months, four of our dedicated members worked hard raising and processing their hogs in preparation for this event. Their hard work paid off as they raised over $11,000 in total!
We would like to give huge thank you to the local businesses, community members, and individuals who showed their support by bidding on our members' hams and bacons! Your generosity made this event a huge success!
A Special thanks to all of our buyers!!

The annual Bob Ross inspired paintings by Ms. Didawick's Art 2 students are completed and hanging in the showcase in BSHS building A.
Fun fact: There are 403 episodes of Bob Ross's "Joy of Painting." Bob painted 381 episodes and had guest artists for the rest.
All 403 episodes were added to the official Bob Ross YouTube channel in 2015.
You can check one out and paint along with Bob too!!!

My favorite thing about school is: Volleyball and my classes with Mr. Lacy, Ms. McCumbee, and Mrs. Anderson.
From the thrill of the game to the support of great teachers, school offers so many reasons to show up each day! Attending regularly helps students build teamwork skills, strengthen friendships, and stay on top of their learning.
