Join Morgan County Schools in congratulating Jordan Unger for his first-place finish at the Regional Social Studies Fair held at Musselman High School on March 16! Jordan will be presenting his World History project, History of Wrestling, at the WV State Social Studies Fair in Charleston, WV on April 10. Good luck Jordan!


Ella Kessel is featured at the Youth Art Month display at the Ice House.
Ella took part in the Governor's School for the Arts this past summer and has several pieces of art on display that she created while there. GSA is a free three week intensive arts camp that 10th graders in West Virginia can apply for.
Check out Ella's art and hundreds of other pieces of student artwork at the Ice House during the month of March.


These two amazing works of art are featured at the Youth Art show at the Ice House this month.
These two collaborative art pieces were made by students in Ms. Didawick's classes and will be on Silent Auction all month while the the art show is up.
All proceeds from the Silent Auction will be used to start a Visual Arts scholarship fund for BSHS students wanting to continue their education in a visual arts field.
The last day to bid is March 31st.
Be sure to stop by the open house on Friday March 22nd at 6 pm to check these pieces out as well as hundreds of other pieces of art by Morgan County art students.
The show is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 11 am to 5pm during the month of March

Happy Friday!! This is a reminder that we have FREE food available (Morgan County Backpack Program) for any student who would like to take home a bag. Food bags are located outside the School Counseling Department (during the week) & Bus Loop/Pick-Up areas during dismissal (on Fridays).


The Regional Math Field Day scheduled for tomorrow is being postponed to Wednesday, March 13.

Out of the over 4,000 WV students who competed in the Poetry Out Loud program, Hunter Hook finished in the Top 10! Congratulations Hunter!

For the month of February, we had 20 staff members with perfect attendance! They were: Kristina Anderson, John Brode, Suzanne Burhoe, April Emerson, Wes Eddy, Renee Fincham, Denise Gipson, Matthew Hayes, Sam Henry, Diana Hiles, MaryAlice Hobday, Tom Lacy, John Lynch, Holli McCumbee, Tiffany Remsburg, Neil Stotler, Quintin Thompson, Chuck Walker, Mike Wilder, and Staci Wilhelm! Youth art month is now in full swing! You can check out some really awesome artwork by our talented BSHS students at the Ice House. The Ice House is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 11:00-5:00 for the month of March and features Morgan County student art. (stay tuned for more Youth Art month posts.)
