This week middle school students will take the WVGSA. Please make sure that your middle school student brings their charged Chromebook to school on these days. May 2-5 starting at 8:00am. It is important that your child/children get a good night’s rest and are on time for school during these testing days.

The Morgan County Virtual Academy application is currently open for the 2022-2023 school year. Learn more about the structure and requirements of the academy at https://www.morganschools.net/page/virtual-academy. Applications must be submitted by June 1, 2022.

Varstiy Track students should arrive at school on Friday at 9:45am for a 10:00 departure time. Students are expected to return on Saturday around 3:00pm. Thank you.

The middle school track team will need to be at school at 1:20pm tomorrow, Wednesday, April 20, for a 1:30 departure to Moorefield. Thank you.

Our apologies but track practice is now canceled for today due to the winter weather advisory that was just issued for PP through 8 pm. We will resume practice on Tuesday at 3 if weather permits. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Track practice will take place today at 3:00pm in the gym. Also please enter through the front doors of the high school.

As a reminder, Friday, April 15 is now a Non-Traditional Instructional Day for students. There is no school for students Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22 for Spring Break.

The band adjudication trip scheduled for today has been canceled.

Due to the two hour delay, kindergarten registration will be rescheduled. We are waiting on band adjudication details and will let you know as soon as possible.

Morgan County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for today, Wednesday, March 30. Employees follow reporting code D.

Is your upcoming K-5 student interested in attending a summer camp? If so, then Camp MoCo is a great opportunity. Camp MoCo is available for all students entering grades K-5 in the 2022-2023 school year.

Calendar Update: Friday, April 15 was previously scheduled to be an early dismissal. It will now be a non-traditional instructional day. Students will not attend school in person that day but instead be engaged as directed by their teachers. Staff will report to work.

Congratulations to Paige Waugh and Maya Souders, WSIS, who won first place in the Division I U.S. History group category at the Regional Social Studies Fair held at Musselman High School on March 19. Paige and Maya will be presenting their project, Helen Keller, at the State Social Studies Fair in Charleston on April 29.
