As we finish out the National School Counseling Week, we would like to say "Thank You" to all of Morgan County School Counselors. Every student deserves a school counselor to help with academic achievement strategies, managing emotions and applying interpersonal skills, and planning for postsecondary options. School counselors are #HelpingStudentsDreamBig.
National School Counseling Week Spotlight goes to Sabra Maguire at Widmyer Elementary School and Pleasant View Elementary School. Thank you for your continued support to students. School counselors help students in more ways than you may know. Every day, school counselors make a difference for students. This week we celebrate them as a part of National School Counseling Week 2023.
Widmyer is excited that our PTO is gearing up again! We will be having a meeting tomorrow, Feb. 9 at 3:30. We will me electing officers for the remainder of the year and planning out the rest of the year.

We were finally able to enjoy our staff holiday feast on Friday and it was so delicious! We'd like to give a shoutout to Charlotte's Café for opening up late and hosting our event. Morgan County Schools will close for in-person learning tomorrow, Wednesday, January 25. This will be Non-Traditional Instructional Day #4. Employees will follow reporting code A.
Your student will be bringing this form home today. We are SO excited to get this game started but we need your help. Please review this form and do NOT sign and return it by weeks end. This is an OPT OUT which means you only need to return it if you chose not to play. Keep in mind there are some terriffic prizes in store- laundry baskets, dish soap, household cleaning supplies, gas cards and so much more. All you have to do to play is keep an eye out for our 'Did you Know' posts and wait for the call. Talk to you soon~
WOW!!! Look at these student's achievements!! All of these children have had perfect attendance for the second quarter of school. If you see them out and about, please congratulate them. We would like to celebrate these victories all over town.

We would like to give a shout-out to these students today! They have all worked so hard to improve their attendance in the second quarter and were very excited to get these certificates. They will be recognized later today with a pizza party, as well. Not all students are pictured but their certificates will be sent home. Please join us in celebrating these milestones with your children!! You deserve the credit too :)
