Our second ASVAB will be offered on March 4th, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the CEC Center. You MUST register to take this test. You can find the registration link on your "Class of---" Schoology page under resources in the folder labeled ASVAB Registration Forms. There are only 30 spots available. Registration will close on February 25th, 2024 at 3:30PM.

Governor's Schools are a FREE summer residential program that give you the opportunity to spend time at a college campus pursuing the above topics. Please see your school counselor for more details.

Interested in a leadership opportunity? Want to meet students from around the country? HOBY is an amazing opportunity where you get to grow your leadership skills and confidence while learning how to work as a team with other sophomores from around the country. In addition, you will develop your problem solving skills as you tackle challenges with your assigned group, and present your findings during the seminar!

Looking for an opportunity to participate in a challenge this summer? Sign up for Girls or Boys State! These camps allow students to learn more about leadership, community, and West Virginia by having them participate in a mock government where they hold various positions of political office. Students can also elect not to run for office, but hold other positions in the community or state.
Those who participate in Girls or Boys State, are eligible to win scholarships, to include the Samsung Scholarship that is up to $10,000. In addition, participants also gain merit points towards all US Military Service Academies.

This store is for everyone - current/upcoming students, community members, family members, and former BSHS graduates! We have youth, women's, and men's clothing/sizing along with blankets, cornhole boards, phone cases, slides, and water bottles. Grab some gear and represent your local high school! BSN will be giving back a portion of the proceeds to help offset the cost of Skye (our wonderful therapy dog). Please keep in mind that orders are not processed and shipped until after the store closes (average process/delivery is 4-5 weeks). The Governor's School for the Arts summer program provides students with a unique opportunity to enhance and build artistic skills in creative writing, dance, digital literacy, instrumental music, painting and drawing, theater, and vocal performance. The program provides an inclusive community for artists of all types. Current 10th-grade students are eligible for the GSA. Auditions and portfolios are reviewed for admittance. The summer 2024 session will be at the West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Contact your school counselor for more information.
