During week of November 27th, 34 students participated in post-secondary exploration activities hosted by DRS and "Compass Job Exploration's" director, Alyssa Querrey. The first two days, 12 students (primarily 9th and 10th graders) worked on career exploration using their newly acquired HP Laptop provided by DRS. These students learned about some software that is useful for creating a resume. The students participated in mock interviews and had a lot of fun with a few STEM activities. The following two days were attended by primarily 11th and 12th grade students who became CPR certified and earned a Food Handler certification. Everyone who participated earned valuable, marketable skills that will be very beneficial as they begin to develop their post-secondary plan for work, military, vocational school and 4 year college. We are so proud of their accomplishments and have great joy in watching them earn these adult learning skills. Congratulations to all of our participants.
