Friday is the long awaited Small & Tall Ball. If you have not received your ticket yet, it should come home today. Amanda Miller will be joining us again to take photographs. This is Read Across America week! Yesterday, we celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday with readers and cupcakes. Thank you to the First Responders and parents who read during the day and to Mr. Litten who read at our birthday party.

This is a reminder that there is no school for students on Wednesday, February 28th! This day is scheduled as a Professional Learning Day for our staff.
Read Across America Week is coming!!
Due to impending weather, Morgan County Schools' Social Studies fair scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Warm Springs Middle School, is postponed to Saturday, February 24, 2024.
As a reminder, there is a scheduled 2-hour early dismissal for this Friday, February 16 for Faculty Senate and there is no school on Monday, February 19.
Because of the NTI Day yesterday, Thursday's lunch menu will be replaced with Tuesday's lunch menu (popcorn chicken).
Morgan County Schools will close for in-person learning Tuesday, February 13. This will be Non-Traditional Instructional Day #4. Employees will follow reporting code A. All evening activities are cancelled.
Due to forecasted weather in the morning, Morgan County Schools will be operating on a two hour delay for Tuesday, February 13. Employees follow reporting code D. We will reevaluate in the morning.
This month we hoped to recognize 20 students with the best attendance, but when researching this, we discovered that far more students had perfect attendance in January than anticipated! Thank you, Widmyer students, for coming to school, striving for success, and sharing our love of learning each day!

Morgan County Schools 2024-2025 Calendar Survey
We are gathering input on our school calendar for the next school year. Please take a moment to provide input to help us develop our calendar. For next year's calendar, we are planning for the first day for staff to be August 12 and the first day for students to be August 20.

Please join us this Friday, as we celebrate RED, to Remember Everyone Deployed! Red Fridays happen the last Friday of every month and we want to invite you to wear our Widmyer RED shirt too!
Menu changes for the rest of the Month:
January 25--Breakfast--cook's choice (muffin, pancake, waffle, etc), yogurt, fruit. Lunch--chicken nuggets, french fries, baked beans, fruit.
January 26--Breakfast--cereal, cheese stick, fruit. Lunch--grilled cheese, tater tots, celery with ranch, fruit.
For January 29-Feb 2, we will be using the menu from January 22-26.
