We will be making a schedule change for tomorrow, Wednesday, September 6. Students will be going to their Monday Specials. If they have PE on Mondays, please make sure they wear tennis shoes.

We're gearing up for ''Stuff A Bus" and we need your help!! Please reach out to Sherrie Byrd at 304-258-2024 if you are interested in volunteering your time for this event.

As we prepare for school on Tuesday, please double heck your child's bus number. Morgan County was able to purchase some new buses over the summer, and we also made some changes to routing. Both have resulted in new bus numbers for many students. Make sure you know what bus your child rides. It is helpful on the first day of school if you put a note in his or her backpack with the updated bus number, child's name, and a reliable contact number. Thank you and we are excited to greet all the students on Tuesday!

We are busy preparing for tonight's open house. Please know that tonight will be a true 'open house'. You may arrive anytime between 5:00 and 6:30 pm. Staff will be available until 7:00. Once you arrive at Widmyer, you may report directly to your child's classrom. Staff members will be available to direct you. There will also be tables in the cafeteria where you can get bus information, meet with the nurse, CIS information, boy scout info, girl scout info, and FREE books.

We're so excited to share this community support adventure with you. Our Communities In Schools Site Coordinator, the CIS Site Coordinators in the rest of the county, our bus drivers, social workers, community partners, Berkeley Springs Food Lion, and so many more gracious staff members are teaming up to bring you 'Stuff A Bus' from August 28th to September 1st, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, to collect BASIC NEEDS items. ‘Stuff A Bus’ hopes to collect enough items so that EVERY MoCo student can have a clean, fresh and full start to their mornings. We are looking for soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, socks, underwear and other hygiene products that many may go without, along with self-serve healthy snacks such as tuna packets, peanut butter crackers, easy mac, applesauce cups, etc. Please reach out to Sherrie Byrd, at 304-258-2024, if you would like to volunteer for this collaborative effort.

Morgan County Schools Families, We value your input on our summer programs. If your child participated in any of the summer programs, please take a moment to provide feedback at the link below. Enjoy the rest of your summer. We look forward to seeing students back at school on August 22.

As we prepare for the opening of school, it is important that we have all documentation on file. For Kindergarten students and new enrollments, please make sure that we have up to date immunizations and legal documents. Our secretary will be available July 25, 8:30-2:00 to assist you. Additionally, there is drop box by the main doors for after hours delivery. All immunizations must be in prior to the start of school. Missing immunizations will prevent your child from starting school on August 22. Thank you.
